It’s our favourite time of the week – Throwback Thursday, and this magical wedding in Tassie is  a highlight from our archives. After an early morning proposal on a private beach in Tassie while on holiday, Chloe and Will decided there was no other spot to tie the knot. “We had a soft spot for Tasmania as we had the most amazing holiday and proposal there and we wanted all of our family and friends to experience what we felt when we visited.” Valley Field New Norfolk was their pick of venues. “The location is absolutely amazing and a not-so-typical wedding venue, which I loved,” says the bride. “It offered everything from beautiful gardens with fruit trees to an old sand stone coach house.”

Throw in a gorg veil from Amelie George and some d-floor pumping music by Baker Boys Band, and as you’ll see from the epic pics by Janneke Storm, Chloe and Will’s dream day was a huge hit.

FAVE DEETS “I was really obsessed with the flowers and the overall vibe. Lots of wicker baskets with large bunches of flowers and bowls of fruit, I wasn’t a fan of flower arrangement so this market-style approach was so perfect. It allowed the garden party to feel beautiful yet relaxed at the same time. We also had the most amazing grazing table – that was a real highlight.”

THE THEME “We wanted to channel a garden party vibe which felt relaxed and suited our personalities.”

STANDOUT VENDOR “Our photographer, Janneke Storm, who is a dear friend, went absolutely above and beyond and everyone else on the day made everything feel so relaxed, chilled and easygoing!”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “I do think that the ceremony was pretty special and amazing. As corny as it sounds it felt like there was a lot of love in the air.”

A WORD OF ADVICE  “Be organised – I had a powerpoint document where I kept everything in the one place . I also had lots of mood boards and imagery of what we were after.  It is also great to have trust in the process and let the professionals do what they do best.”

This wedding first appeared in our Real Wedding Special Vol.8 and because we love you guys so much, if you use DOUBLETROUBLE at checkout, you’ll get issue 39 for free.
