When Carol agreed to marry James it appears it was on one condition – that they did things differently. “We wanted a small, simple, intimate, modern, non-traditional wedding, held in our favourite restaurant with our friends”, says Carol who handpicked a concise team of incredible vendors to help make it happen.
Lilli Waters of I Got You Babe Photography was their photographer of choice and Petra of Pomp and Splendour their florist. Following an intimate ceremony at the Old Treasury Building, located in the heart of Melbourne they made their way to Vue de Monde – Australia’s most sustainable restaurant operated and owned by celebrity chef Shannon Bennett -where they celebrated in style.
“The idea of this wedding was to make it a party to celebrate our relationship, rather than having formalities and traditions, hence no religious or family traditions were incorporated”, says Carol and with that in mind she began her search for the perfect, non-bridal wedding dress.
“The dress is from Cameo, I found it on The Iconic. It was a very nice cut, simple pale blue dress without any decorative details. The most amazing thing is the dress only cost me around 100 bucks, how good is that!”
