Recognising that a relaxed, intimate day was more their jam, Carly and Mick decided to steer clear of a drab, formal setting for their wedding.
“We decided that that just wasn’t us! We wanted something that felt more like a party, while also maintaining the traditional touches. So we went for a low key, cocktail style wedding with a relaxed lounge area, beautiful live music, great food and great company.”
Rue De Seine’s flawless frocks never cease to impress and Carly’s gown was no exception. “I wanted something simple, understated and elegant. Finding something that ticked all those boxes was more difficult than I anticipated!” says the bride.
Captured by Trent and Jessie, Carly and Mick’s venue choice was a huge part of their wedding vibe – a truly rustic and industrial feel. “Paxton’s Warehouse was a perfect choice for us,” the couple explains.
“Every time I looked around the reception venue, I kept thinking about all the stories that went with every little touch. From the chairs which Mick spent over 100 hours downstairs cleaning, to the mango chutney which we nearly killed each other by dodging rocks and mangoes trying to collect, it all felt so special and personal.”
