After 11 years together, Camilla and Jack tied the knot at Rosewood Estate – a rural hinterland Eden, inland from the Gold Coast. Taking us all the way back to high school, where the pair first met, the bride said, “I think it was love at first sight (at least for me!) We started off as friends for a year, but I had a huge crush on him, obviously, look at him, and somehow, he decided to ask me out. We’ve been inseparable ever since!”
After exchanging vows and rings (Michael Hill ones – A+ pick) the party moved to the marquee, which was adorned with poppies and snap dragons. There, guests celebrated under a canopy of fairy lights and left heartfelt well wishes on the couple’s guestbook landline (a hire from Off the Hook). “The thing I hear most [from guests] is how beautiful the wedding was and how it felt straight out of a fairytale, ” the bride shared. “I honestly don’t think it gets better than that.”
Our newlyweds share lessons and loved-up moments below. And good luck pulling your eyes away from this stunner of a wedding album. It’s easy to see why the couple describe photographer Amy Victoria Wren as “incredible,” “talented,” and “a beautiful soul”.
Rosewood Estate Wedding – The Perfect Hinterland Location
“We only looked at one other venue before finding Rosewood. We had a really clear vision of what we wanted, we wanted to be surrounded by nature and have a beautiful view. We actually came very close to having a wedding overseas, especially since quite a few of our family members live in the UK and Poland.”
What Guests Loved Most About the Day
“The guests are still raving about the venue, the view, the fairy lights in the marquee, the location… everything! The thing I hear most is how beautiful the wedding was and how it felt straight out of a fairytale. I honestly don’t think it gets better than that. Our guests also loved our celebrant (Just Jess Ceremonies), she was funny, relaxed, and just absolutely lovely.”
The Wedding Day Vibe
“We’ve always loved a natural, whimsical vibe. We’re both pretty down-to-earth and not into anything too over the top, so we knew we wanted something timeless, simple, and effortless.”
Florals, Styling & Favourite Details
“We absolutely loved the flowers, poppies and snap dragons are just so gorgeous. The way our florist (Moons Lane Flowers) arranged them in the wine bottles was to die for! It all came together so beautifully, and it was incredible to see everything we’d talked about, and all my mood boards come to life. The cake was also amazing: so simple, yet so stunning. I was especially proud of the menus too, since I drew the flowers myself, and they tied in perfectly with the real ones on the table.”
Magic Aisle Moment (Cue Tears)
“A favourite moment for me was seeing Camilla walking down the aisle, it was incredibly emotional for me. I was overwhelmed with all the feelings I’d been holding in, and it felt like the perfect moment to let them all out. Even before the wedding, I couldn’t stand at the altar without getting emotional. But when I saw Camilla, I was mesmerised, she looked stunning, and I couldn’t believe I was about to marry her.”
Budget Tips from the Groom
“Always factor in extra costs (such an accountant thing to say, haha!) But choose three things that are really important to you and that you absolutely can’t compromise on. You can spend more money in those areas and then budget more carefully in the areas you’re happy to be flexible on.”
