These legends initially booked a spot in Sydney, where Dom hails from, and where the couple currently call home. But, as planning progressed, this bride and groom found their attention turning south to the picturesque Mornington Peninsula region, specifically, Montalto Winery. “We ended up forfeiting that deposit and locking in Montalto after visiting a couple of times,” the groom explains. “It is a very popular winery in the region Brooke grew up in and she always said it was dream venue. We saw so many venues beforehand, but none of them made me feel the way Montalto did,” Brooke adds, explaining that it was “definitely the right decision in the end even though it was a journey to get there!”

“I remember feeling so bad explaining my vibe to my vendors. I love modern, but not too modern and Dom loves rustic barn kind of vibes. The one thing we both absolutely agreed on was we wanted the flowers to be super colourful, and quite whimsical and I guess for the wedding itself to be UK garden wedding vibes – in Melbourne, which was very ambitious of me. I wanted fancy but not too fancy, and the signage to be fun but not childish (what a brief hey!) I do feel like we nailed that brief though (thank you weather gods & incredible vendors), our venue and florist really were key in bringing that to life.”

“The dress took FOREVER to find… Going into it, I was really nervous, I wasn’t sure anything would suit me, but I found that most of the dresses I tried on I absolutely loved, which made it even harder to find the one. The dress I went with was a Serene by Madi Lane dress, and I bought it from Luv Bridal in Chadstone. Again, I feel like my dress fit the absolutely mix-mashed vibe I was going for – it was super modern, but if you look closely, it’s actually embossed with roses. Overall, I honestly had a really great experience and feel really lucky that that’s the case.”

“I’m glad we had an outdoor wedding – the ceremony and weather were perfect, and I couldn’t imagine a better day. It was risky though – the day after it stormed. We got so lucky!”
