Sydneysiders Arianne and Kane are now experts when it comes to planning a far away wedding. £We love to travel and so a destination wedding was always on the cards, says Kane who proposed to Arianne in Bali on their five year anniversary.
Twelve months later they returned to tie the knot, this time with an entourage of friends and family in tow. £We thought it would be amazing to have our family and close friends experience the unique culture, beauty and incredible people as well as the amazing food – all the things we love with the ones we love!
They were reluctant to take on such an enormous assignment however, until they’d locked in photographer Dan O’Day to capture all the action. £We were so blessed to have found the incredible Dan O’Day. We could not have chosen a better photographer to shoot our wedding, says Arianne, surprised by how easily she made so many big decisions, namely her dress.
£Surprisingly choosing my dress was probably the most decisive I’ve ever been, (in my whole entire life) considering that I’m typically SO indecisive! I knew I wanted something classic and elegant and wanted to feel like I would float down the aisle. So when I first laid eyes on the Dentelle dress by Jenny Packham it was literally love at first sight!
Her stunning gown helped set the tone for their sophisticated affair held at Pantai Lima – a tranquil, French inspired abode close to the centre of Kuta. £It was the perfect setting for our big day, says Arianne who admits that it would have been a much bigger challenge without a local wedding planner. £Our planner Karen from Cher Ange really went above and beyond to help us create our vision for the day? We were so blown away by the end result!
Their relaxed, jaw-dropping ceremony, incredible flowers, stunning festoon lights and stationery by D&d Letterpress added so much magic to their day that everyone soon forgot about the dramas that had unfolded earlier on. £Our Uncle Andy booked accommodation that turned out not to exist. Kane’s father and best man had flight delays ending up with an 18-hour transit from Brisbane to Denpasar, says Arianne who can at least laugh about it now. £They got there in the end!
