This nurse and plumber duo are a treat guys. “We have been together since 2016 after we both luckily swiped right and scored a match on Tinder. After a few dates, it was clear we shared many of the same passions including dogs, travelling and a good espresso martini.” They sound like a good time, and their wedding sure was! Be Here Be Now Photos & Films was there to capture it on camera (and video) and we are truly very pleased about it, so scroll down for all…

THE VENUE “We had seen approximately five venues before deciding on The Baths. We loved the idea of a beach destination wedding. We love the beach, warm weather and light bright spaces. It ticked all our boxes! We loved how the venue was directly on the water and would make the perfect backdrop for our wedding and vibe we were aiming for. We also loved the idea of having the ceremony directly on the beach and for the reception to naturally follow straight on afterwards. [Also] the food was sensational!”

THE INSPO “I found myself always falling in love with whimsical elements and soft tones. I liked the idea of using a mix of dried and fresh flowers and went ahead sending a few inspo picks to our florist. It was there we decided to stick with whites, sage greens and pops of muted tones. Woops a Daisy absolutely blew us away with her creativity and went above and beyond to make our vision come to life. When it came to the tables I booked a styling appointment with Lara from Simmons Linen. She too was amazing adding to our vision taking the time to add different colour combos mixing table cloths, napkins and runner combos.”

DIY “Blake created our welcome sign stand. Being a plumber he knew it would be something he could create out of copper! As for the table deco at the reception, I collected and recycled all the bottles from work. I knew I didn’t want large posies on the guest tables rather a scattered, unstructured vibe. The dried flowers that decorated the recycled glass jars were a mix of personally collected dried elements from when we would go on walks around my parent’s property mixed with some purchased dried flowers from a local store. The fortnight before the wedding my sister mum and I had an afternoon of creativity where we styled up all the glass jars/vases all ready for the big day.”

THE DRESS I find it very difficult to make final decisions and love to change my mind. So in my case, my final dream dress was my lucky third dress! I found the process and experience of finding ‘the dress’ very overwhelming. [But] as soon as I put it on, it was the one I had been searching for. I couldn’t have imagined wearing any other dress on my wedding day.”

REFERENCES “As soon as we got engaged, I got on Instagram and started following anything wedding related. I did a heap of stalking for specific vendors, especially on Hello May! We wanted to try to secure local Mornington vendors where possible. When we came across Be Here Be Now Photos & Films via Hello May and stalked their Instagram we knew we had to organise a catch-up. Not only were their photography and videography incredible they were local to the Mornington region.”

WE’RE GLAD WE “We are so happy and glad we did a first look. Not only was it the most perfect location and was one of our standout memories from the day. For us, it also took the edge off of our nerves. We both found that sharing that special moment with just each other enabled us to shake off some of the anxiousness and nerves and truly allowed us to embrace every moment and enjoy the day to its entirety. We both went into the ceremony with pure excitement and on a high from the special moment we experienced together just half an hour earlier.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “A special shout out though has to go to the incredible duo Be Here Be Now Photos & Films. They continued to keep us grounded both in the lead-up but most importantly on the day. Their guidance to remain in the moment is advice we truly cherish. Both Shani and Christian just blended so well among our family and friends and we couldn’t be happier with the sensational photos and video we can now treasure forever. “
