Foodies to the core, it’s no surprise that Tim organised a super special night for him and Alice at Vue De Monde, an elegant restaurant on level 55 of the Riatlo building in Melbourne. “After having 4 courses, there was a chef’s special’ dessert, which was a glass cloche with dry ice making it foggy to see inside, once the top was raised, the fog drifted and revealed the ring.”
Opting for a day that simply reflected them, Alice and Tim’s celebration was all about relaxing, having lots of fun and tonnes of laughs at Aghadoe Estate, about an hour and a half from the CBD. “I grew up on a farm and Tim visited his grandparents who lived on a farm for years as a child. We have such an appreciation for the landscape, and given that we were keen for a relaxed wedding, this was the perfect fit,” explains the bride, who says choosing her Rue De Seine dress was a no-brainer.
“I’d had my eye on it for a while. I always wanted something I could frolic through fields in and get down on the dance floor. And when I tried it on, I felt amazing, it was the only dress where I came out of the change room beaming.”
Though the pair says that their entire day was full of favourite moments and memories, it was their ceremony with celebrant Fiona Garrigan that really stuck out. “To have your story’ be told out loud, and to express your most personal feelings and promises to each other, in front of all the people we love, and have them laugh and cry along with you it was our favourite life moment,” Alice tells us, adding that their first look with Madeline Druce Photography was one of their best decisions.
“Originally it was just so we could have a quiet moment together and shake off some nerves, but it was actually a really special and emotional moment just taking in what we were about to do. We like to refer to her as a little ninja with a camera, because the photos that were taken, we had no idea she was there. The way she was able to capture the day was absolutely perfect and we are forever grateful that we have some wonderful memories that we can keep for a lifetime.”
