Aja and Andrew scored all A’s – ticking all the right boxes with their country style wedding at The Woolshed at Bendemeer, located in New Zealand’s picturesque South Island. “I was born in New Zealand and Queenstown is a special place for me and my family so it made sense in the end to have the wedding there”, says Aja who tracked down some of the most talented vendors in all the land, including photographer Emily Adamson and floral stylist Sarah Gutschlag from The Flower Room. It was back home however, where Aja spotted her dream dress by Australian haute couture designer Paolo Sebastian, a man who released his first collection at just 17. “It was the first dress I tried on and loved it.”
Also wearing shoes by Jimmy Choo and jewellery by Oscar de la Renta, Aja tells us, “I love dancing so my favourite part was dancing with all my friends on the dance floor. When the sun went down we took the dancing inside the Woolshed where everyone broke out their best moves. With a carefully curated selection of wines by Amisfield Winery, Brennan Wines and Waitiri Creek, we have no doubt we would have been right there with them.
