We were immediately taken by the luxuriousness of this styled shoot, the creative vision of stylist Giselle from Sugar Blossom Events. “I was inspired by the European appreciation of ‘the beautiful life’, where simple pleasures and indulgence meet in a dreamy, modern-day romance,” she shares.
It took place at one of the Hunter Valley’s most beautiful venues Leaves & Fishes in Lovedale, and brought together a talented NSW-based team, including Jade from Makes Ones Way Weddings to capture all the details.

Hunter Valley-based stylist Sugar Blossom Events’ style is naturally ethereal, romantic and timeless with a touch of whimsy. When working on this shoot, the prominent, European architectural features of the colonnade present at venue Leaves & Fishes took centrestage. “They are softened with delicate draping, immersive sunset, and natural, effortless blooms. Wrapped in these romantic surrounds, this love story unfolds, exploring the decadence, playfulness and celebration that shape the fabric of this beautiful life,” says Giselle.
“Working on this styled shoot was just bliss, the vision of everybody involved was a photographer’s dream,” lens lady Jade says. ” Some of my favourite photos were taken on this shoo, which drew inspiration from the venue and the feeling of ‘La Bella Vita’. There’s a glorious warmth to these images.”

This exclusive venue offers a world of possibilities, with multiple event spaces allowing you to design a wedding that is truly your own. “For this exquisite wedding editorial, Giselle from Sugar Blossom Events envisioned a celebration of ‘The Beautiful Life’ brought to life against the stunning backdrop of our European-inspired colonnade. Every detail of the shoot exuded elegance and romance.”
For this exquisite shoot, the vision of elegance and old-world romance, was brought to life by tabletop pieces from Sourceress, known for its ethereal and old-world collection of antique silver tableware, flatware, platters, plinths, and risers. Each piece, from delicate cake stands to intricately embossed shell flatware and vintage coupes added layers of refinement and romance. “Then to infuse a touch of nature and raw beauty, the tablescape was further adorned with statement shells and corals, a hallmark of the collection. These organic elements added to the casual opulence and natural beauty.”
