Hi, I’m Simone, the face behind Architecture in Bloom.

I’ve always been fascinated by what you notice when you really look at flowers. Their form, movement and all those little details that make each one different.

Outside of flowers, I draw inspiration from architecture, interiors, fashion and art. Unexpected colour combinations often find their way into my work too. Flowers happen to be the medium I fell in love with. Somewhere between design and flowers, Architecture in Bloom came to life and found its name.

Based in Sydney’s Hills District, I create wedding flowers for couples across Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley and beyond.

I love never knowing where an idea might lead. Every couple brings something different. It might be a colour they love, a feeling they want to create or something we discover together. I enjoy working with couples who are open to possibilities and happy to give me room to create. That’s what keeps it interesting.

Getting to know my couples is important to me. I want to understand what matters to you. I also want to be across the details and stay involved. You’re trusting me with an important part of your day, and I take that seriously. But I also want the experience to feel personal, collaborative and enjoyable.

I’m not interested in adding flowers just for the sake of it. I’d rather consider where flowers will make the biggest difference. I’ll also give you an honest opinion about what’s worth investing in and what isn’t.

What wedding floral services do you offer?

Architecture in Bloom offers everything from personal flowers and à la carte orders through to complete floral design for your ceremony and reception. This can include bouquets and buttonholes, ceremony flowers, table arrangements and larger floral installations, all individually designed for your wedding.

How much should we budget for wedding flowers?

Every wedding is different, and the cost of your flowers will depend on the scale and complexity of the designs, the flowers selected and the overall floral requirements for your day. As a guide only, intimate weddings may range from $2,500 to $5,000, more extensive floral designs from $5,000 to $8,000, while floral-focused and large-scale weddings may range from $8,000 to $12,000+.

For elopements, micro weddings or couples needing just a few key floral pieces, à la carte wedding flowers are available from $500.

What if we don’t know exactly what we want?

You do not need to have everything figured out before getting in touch. Some couples come to me with a clear direction, while others only know a colour they love, how they want the day to feel or what they definitely do not want. We can work from there. I will help you explore the possibilities and work out where flowers will have the most impact for your wedding.

Can we make the most of our flowers by using them in more than one space?

Absolutely. Where it makes sense, I will look at ways your flowers can be moved or repurposed throughout the day, such as bringing ceremony flowers into your reception. This will depend on the design, the spaces involved and the timing between different parts of your day. I consider this as part of the overall design and will recommend what will work best for your wedding.

How does the wedding enquiry process work?

Start by filling out the Wedding Enquiry Form on the Architecture in Bloom website. I will then be in touch with some initial information, and from there we can arrange a consultation to talk through your wedding, priorities and ideas. Following the consultation, I will prepare a detailed quotation and initial design direction for you to consider. If you decide to go ahead, we will continue developing the design together, including a personalised mood board and proposal.

Do you take care of delivery, setup and pack down?

Yes. We can take care of delivery, setup, installation and pack down for your wedding, including the collection of hired items. These services are quoted separately based on your venue, access, timing and the setup required.

Do you travel for weddings?

Architecture in Bloom is based in Sydney’s Hills District and works with couples across Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley and throughout NSW. Travel, delivery and any additional logistics are considered as part of your quotation.

How far in advance should we enquire?

It is never too early to get in touch, particularly if you have a specific wedding date or venue in mind. Popular dates can book well in advance, but I also take on weddings with shorter lead times where availability allows. I would recommend enquiring once your date and venue are confirmed.
