Having only recently moved to Perth, Tess and Ben did the “newly engaged thing” and followed every wedding related Instagram they could find. Enter Jess Butcher of The Butcher, The Baker, The Stylist & Creator.
“With one meeting we were in love, she understood us, she laughed at my jokes, she has an endless energy and literally knows everyone in the biz in Perth,” says Tess, who credits their stylist with helping them score Lamont’s Bishops House.
Captured by James Simmons, as well as cinematographers The White Tree, the couple tells us: “We wanted the entire day to be a celebration of not just us but all our guests, the people who made us who we are and helped us make this day possible. We wanted our guest to feel special, loved and I think both of us just wanted to make sure they all knew how much we valued them.”
A day chock-full of awesome vendors and good times, there’s no denying that Tess and Ben are now experts in the world of wedding planning – leaving other future brides and grooms with an important bit of advice.
“Make it a true representation of yourselves and make your guests feel like that are just as much a part of it as you and you cannot go wrong. (oh, and go easy on the champagne, it makes for a killer headache!).”
