Excitement abounds in the Hello May office today as we get to bring you the first look at Melbourne boutique One Day Bridal’s brand spanking new collection, aptly titled ‘Curious Hearts’.
Channelling ethereal beauty, classic lines and modern detailing, the timeless appeal of each gown in this collection effortlessly fuses romanticism with a modern aesthetic. Adorned with the finest laces and intricate beading, each gown encapsulates the divine femininity, confidence and opulence of a One Day Bride. “Someone who is adventurous, spirited and has a unique ability to bring a sense of ease into the room”, says designer Kyha Simpson.
Together with some of our other favourite vendors including Erin and Tara photography and Stephanie Somebody (who we recently caught up with here), One Day Bridal created this inspiring lookbook that made us feel like all our Christmases had come at once.
The talented folk from Prunella used their floral superpowers to create beautiful bouquets while hair and makeup artist Natalie Simms worked her magic on model Paris Wycherley who was beautifully decorated in jewellery by Damselfly. A romantic shoot that showcases One Day Bridal’s choice of quality materials, Khya tells us “we spend hours sourcing laces and beading that will work with our design aesthetic.” and clearly it’s paid off in spades.
