Some of our favourite Queensland vendors including legendary photographer Jess Jackson (featured here), event stylists Hope & Lace (featured here) and hair and makeup artist The Beauty Case (featured here) recently teamed up to offer one lucky couple the chance to win a styled portrait session and three personalised postcards from Ivy Invite (featured here).
They gathered atop one of Brisbane’s most popular urban dwellings to meet Amber and Beck, the winners of their ‘Shoot My Valentine’ competition.
“It was just going to be a picnic set up however I was getting to know Amber through email and she said they loved graffiti and more urban settings…” says Erin from Hope & Lace, who kindly arranged to do the shoot at Elixir instead. And then their plans changed again.
“Half way through the planning, Amber said she bought a ring and was wondering if it would be okay for her to propose during the shoot!” Completely on board, Erin helped stage the perfect proposal, instructing them “both” to close their eyes while she led Beck to the venue’s rooftop terrace. When she told them to open their eyes, Amber was on one knee with a ring in hand and behind her, a homemade poster saying “will you spend forever with me?”
Looking at these images, we think we can guess what she said and we hope to share their wedding with you soon!
