“As a florist who designs and forages seasonally, I was immediately drawn to the juniper tree this time of year”, says Nicole, the beauty and brains behind Utah-based company Soil & Stem who recently teamed up with photographer Evelyn Eslava, Shellie from Silk & Willow and hair and makeup artist Victoria Plant to put together this collection of inspiring images for Aussie brides planning a winter wedding.
“Our trees are loaded with juicy pastel berries that breathe the texture and movement I crave in my designs. Playing off of this gorgeous shade of light blue berry produced by the juniper, we chose unexpected soft pastels to be our focal color palette”, adds Nicole who chose gowns by Bree Lena and accessories by Danani to compliment her gentle, romantic aesthetic.
Drawing inspiration from the juniper’s rumoured magical qualities (healing, health, strength and peace) this shoot tells a tale that is whimsical and filled with wonder.
