Kate and Brad’s approach was simple – to sit back, relax and trust their vendors. “Don’t rush into choosing any vendors or venues”, says Kate who looked at plenty of locations over the course of their engagement before booking Parklands Country Gardens & Lodges in the Blue Mountains.
“It was ideal for us it was surrounded by beautiful old trees, there were ducks and birds everywhere. And they’re really sustainable in their approach to the environment.” Their photographers Willow & Co. and cinematographers La Lune Cinema (whose work you can also check out here) were also handpicked after months of searching for vendors that suited their casual style.
With their VIP vendors locked in and their DIY jobs complete (including their silver birch arch) the last thing left was for Kate to order her Grace Loves Lace gown. “…when I found out that I was pregnant I emailed the girls there and they were absolutely amazing. They allowed me to wait till the latest I could and email them my measurements so I could get an accurate size for the dress.”
An intimate and beautiful day filled with bright, native blooms, Kate’s one piece of advice is this: “The day really does go unbelievably quick if you can, we would definitely suggest getting a videographer just to have that as well as your photos.”
