“Remember to eat when you’re getting ready!” Some sound advice from Emily, who wed her partner of six years smack bang on their six year anniversary!
After a romantic Byron Bay proposal (which also happened to fall on the day of their anniversary), the pair spent the next year planning one hell-of-a wedding. “The whole wedding was very nature-y, nothing overly themed but just relaxed, warm and us. Flowers were the main vibe maker with all the fairly lights and candles. Just made it so perfect!” Those florals of course came from floristry wizards, The Sisters.
The pair enlisted the help of some rather fab vendors, including the delicious delights from Duck Duck Goose Catering and Photographer Mitch Pohl, who the bride says gave them a tone of vendor suggestions, “He was the reason I found The Sisters, our videographer Tom Coburn and our DJ, We play Records.”
When it came to searching for that perfect gown, Emily explains the process took a little time. “I’m a little bit bootylicious!” said the bride, adding that many of the dresses she’d tried on initially seemed to suit a different figure. “I knew the a-line style would suit my body shape and as soon as I saw my dress online, I hoped that I wasn’t too short for it! I went to the Sydney Made With Love Bridal boutique at the time and tried on a few dresses. But when I hopped in Willow’, I just knew.”
