Libbi & Nathan’s story belongs somewhere in a Hollywood plot line (and if there’s not already a film with it – we call dibs on the movie rights)!

You see, the pair both work in the hair industry, and some four years ago, Nathan and his colleague traveled from Sydney to train the hair stylists at Libbi’s work. “After the hair training, we went out and did what hairdressers do best party, and the bar tender asked us ‘What we were celebrating being out on a Monday night?’ Nathan and I looked at each other and said, we just got engaged, thinking it would get us all a free round of drinks – it didn’t,” laughed the bride, however, “when the night was over Nathan sent me a message as I was on my way home and it said £It was so nice to meet you my future wife.'” Some two years later, the couple had their son Oliver, and were well on their way to planning their wedding. I mean, you can’t make this stuff up!

With Libbi and her father running Our Stolen Moments, a wedding and nursery dû?cor business, much of the planning was already hidden in the hundreds of mood boards the bride had collected over the years, “When we finally got engaged I went through all my pics and found it all there. I asked Nathan what he has always wanted and he wanted a carnival style/vibe and the rustic/carnival themes blended so well, luckily!”

With a recommendation coming from a fellow photographer, the couple enlisted HM fave, Scott Surplice to capture their day. “He was so easy going and helpful. Not to mention the best at what he does,” said the bride who rocked a stunning Grace Loves Lace gown.

One incredibly touching memory from the lead up to the wedding was seeing how involved both families got in setting things up, when one week out, Libbi’s beloved nana passed away. “SO MANY, and I mean Parents, Aunties, Uncles, cousins and friends came early and helped out wherever they could! It was so overwhelming because the wedding really wouldn’t have happened the way it did without them… It represents why we had planned the wedding we had in the first place. We wanted everyone together celebrating. Not just ‘Us’ but friendships, our closeness.”

Loving the epic work from Sydney lensman, Scott Surplice? Us too, which is why this gorgeous NSW wedding swept us off our feet. And whilst you’re ridding that inpso wave, why not jump on over to our online store for current and past issues of Hello May magazine.
