As much as we hate to toot our own horn, we believe credit should be given where credit is due and as it turned out, Hello May and One Fine Day provided Olivia with a tonne of inspiration while planning her Hunter Valley wedding from afar. “I was doing most things from the UK, so i did a lot online. Hello May was one good source of inspiration, and also One Fine Day”, she says.
Held at Peppers Creek Village Olivia and Sav’s theme was inspired by their mutual love for travel and old world things. “All of the countries we loved were our table names and we used our travel pics to decorate and tell the story.” It was their incredible vendors, namely florist Jade McIntosh, hair and makeup artist Tanya of Chic Artistry and photographer Mitch Pohl who took things to a whole new level.
“Mitch Pohl….WOW, what an amazing human being. I felt at ease with him, nothing was a problem, he turned up early and just went about taking pictures and getting set up. I picked him because I loved his style, but I really loved his attitude and enthusiasm also.”
The excitement continued throughout the day with Vinyl Ritchie of We Play Records setting the dance floor on fire. “Sav’s Uncle is one of the most animated people I have ever met, and he and my dad did a dance off which was hilarious. I’m pretty sure Mitch captured this moment perfectly. My dad is the scared looking one.”
