“When planning with your partner, always have a glass of wine nearby”, advises Tahnee who admits she found the wedding planning process testing at times. Once they’d locked in some key vendors however, including photographers Anthony and Kim Hoang from Lover of Mine and Kate Dawes of Kate Dawes Flower Design it was like riding a bike downhill (easy and heaps of fun!) “We were truly very lucky, all our vendors were amazing!”
Lightspace in Brisbane provided the perfect setting for the ‘young, modern vibe’ that this pair were keen to create and with some assistance from Hodgepodge Hire, Zen Catering and of course their own DIY touches they knocked it out of the park. “We wanted to have a fun, relaxed and party vibe hence the Polaroid, live music and cocktail jam jars!” says Tahnee who in contrast, wore a rather classic style gown from our fave Brisbane bridal boutique The Babushka Ballerina.
Being dresses in such delicate lace didn’t stop her though from dominating the dance floor with Amy Kate Music and Daryl Murphy providing the evening’s entertainment. “We are really glad that we had live music through the night!” says Tahnee who at the end of the day, knows that marriage is just about a wedding. “As one of my bridesmaids brought up in her speech, you need to Relish in your marriage and mustard up the time to ketchup and get saucy.’ This statement hit extra close to home as we are now known as the Heinz’s’ but that’s how we feel about marriage is about. Being there for each other, spending time together and having fun together.”
