Guys. There is always that wedding that makes you stop in your tracks when perusing the countless nuptials we covet to bring you our beautiful edit every issue. This here is one of them. They chose to elope (with zero guests!) when “our honeymoon got cancelled to Mexico, the numbers for the wedding got decreased, borders got closed and you couldn’t dance.” They figured, why wait? “This day is just about us,” added the bride. THE VENUE “I worked with Elope to find the best venue, as we were based in Sydney. We wanted something that was simple and private as we were eloping plus could work around the weekend that we originally wanted to get married. The dress was quite timeless and modern so wanted the theme to work around this. Very simple, clean, white and greens.”
THE DRESS “I found my dress just scrolling through Instagram and came across Mariam Seddiq. Her dresses are not for the traditional bride which I was not, so thought it was a perfect fit. When I met with her, I already had an idea of what I was after and we worked together for a year to make the perfect dress for me. The overall experience was perfect.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT “My favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle with Toby.”
LITTLE LOL “When I was walking out to see Toby for the reveal is was super windy… Was I was walking in to surprise him my veil got caught in a cactus!”
A WORD OF ADVICE “My advice is to do what makes you happy and don’t listen to the noise from other people telling you what to do. Pick your venue first and then pick the dress!”
WE’RE GLAD WE… “When I look back at everything now I am so glad that we eloped and would not do it any other way.”
