Beautifully sleek chignons, big bouncy curls, eyeliner with enough flick to knock Lady Gaga’s socks off and gorgeous glowing glamour, hair and makeup has always captivated me. As a kid, following my brother and his friends climbing trees and playing tag, I would be there complete with blue mascara in my hair, white eyeliner and enough lip gloss to catch every bug in a 5km radius! (thank god some trends don’t last!)
I love the process, getting to know someone and making their dream looks real. Seeing that sparkle when my client looks in the mirror and knows this is her bridal look.
I first started as a hairdresser in the UK training straight from school, I realised quite quickly that my passion was with styling hair more than colours and cuts. I then enrolled in a makeup course within Shepperton studios (where films such as Beauty and the Beast and Avengers were filmed). Straight from college, I started working in the musical theatre industry. I worked on West End productions of Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray and Wicked to name a few. It was while on tour I met my husband (an Australian backpacker exploring Europe), who convinced me to come home with him.
