Like lamingtons, ugg boots and vegemite on toast, Australian couples are obsessed with One Fine Day – and understandably so. Now the nation’s biggest and best wedding fair, their next event is taking place in Sydney on September 12 and 13 at Australian Technology Park and this time, they’re shaking things up with the addition of a Bridal Showcase. Unlike anything currently available, the bridal showcase gives brides-to-be the opportunity to meet with their favourite designers and to (hopefully!) find the wedding gown of their dreams.
Each bride is invited to bring along up to three friends and to book multiple appointments with multiple designers (note each appointment is 45 minutes). Already confirmed for the upcoming Sydney fair are Hello May faves Suzanne Harward, Moira Hughes, Savvy Brides and Bridal Trousseau along with Leah Da Gloria, Karen Willis Holmes and Sarah Janks – many of whom will also be showcasing their gorgeous garments along the runway too. Appointments are set to sell out fast so to avoid missing out, book your appointment here.
Of course the usual fair awesomeness is also there to be enjoyed with a number of other top notch wedding vendors on show including celebrants All We Need Is Love and Kathryn Breusch; stationery designers Your One and Only, The Distillery and D&d Letterpress; stylists and prop hire wizards Sammy & Lola, Ashdown & Bee, Blessed Days; florists Wild Blossom; musicians Tillee Music, The White Tree, Duke and Diamond Strings along with super cinematographers Paper Cranes, Studio Something and In A Maze Films.
But the radness does not end there! Makeup artists Sonia Allen Makeup and Liv Lundelius, photographers All Grown Up Weddings, Jo Bartholomew, Bear Deer Fox and Milton Gan plus a mix of venues, jewellers, wedding registries, designers and caterers like Grew & Co, From The Owl, Beachside Dojo, Forever Vintage, Fu Nitro and Grain & Co will also be there.
