Let’s be honest. What’s a wedding without a gelato cart? Chez and Carly of Chicho Gelato travelled to Bologna, Italy and across South America to learn how to make the world’s best gelato, and bring it back to Perth. Recently they teamed up with a whole heap of other Western Australian vendors including photographer Amanda Alessi and hair stylist Rhianon Norman to capture this playful inspiration shoot that’s made us want to try their Nine Spice Chai flavour immediately!

“We wanted the whole shoot to be relaxed and enjoyable which is what a wedding day should be. So Donna from Donna the Makeup Artist kept Monique’s complexion luminescent and the ever so clever Sandra from Elvi Design shared with us a new wedding gown, Jade, a comfortable flowing dress that has come straight from her new Summer 2014/15 collection”, says Amanda who carefully helped her ice-cream experts select a handful of wedding vendors who too enjoy working with relaxed and creative couples, like Monique and Toby.

A real life couple, they played their part well, enjoying each others company and happily eating different flavoured gelato upon instruction. Fox and Rabbit added some colour to the shoot with a big, bright wedding bouquet and flower crown while  Gentleman & Scholar transformed Toby into a super handsome human with a handmade bow tie to go with his dapper suit by Roger David.
