Sonya and Lochie’s stunning wedding is an ode to what skilled styling can do to transform your day into something truly memorable. Lucky for us we’ve had the privilege of featuring their story in our latest issue of Hello May, issue 15 which just so happens to be on sale now and stocked in newsagents nationally.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of none other than Shonel from Nomad Styling, this is one shindig that has us falling head over heals for the details. “The palette was chosen to be whimsical, moody and enchanting, every little detail was to connect to the bride and grooms outfit colour tones for ultimate consistency throughout the day.”

From the taper candles (which were carefully ‘pre-dripped’ to be just so), to the textured grey slate signage, stained purple plywood custom bar and aubergine coloured linen on the tables, Shonel’s work once again proves the devil is not only in the details, but ultimately in how seamlessly the entire look comes together. “We tried to incorporate lots of fabric in the design for fluidity and to soften the space. I brought in lots of timber elements for warmth and to make the ceremony and reception more grounded and connected.”

Their day was captured by none other than the talented Jess Tremp of Brown Paper Parcel fame, whist Love Soldier Weddings caught everything on film which we’re lucky enough to share with you here today.
