Renata Barczak has been surround by crafts since the day she was born. Her Mum worked from home making clothes so its no surprise by the ripe old age of nine, Renata was sewing little tote bags on her mother’s machine. Fast forward 15 or so years and that love of creating something out of nothing has stayed close by her side.
But why bow ties? Ever so spontaneous and impulsive Renata was driving home from work one day and assigned herself a task right there and then. She was going to learn how to make a bow tie! With trial and error her first attempt took three hours to perfect, by the end she was so chuffed with the results she knew this was something she had to pursue a little further and Sincerely Cornelius was born!
Renata finds her inspiration in all things kitsch and loves nothing more than hunkering down at the dining room table, with her boyfriend studying at one end and a mountain of fabric between them, to make these bright and whimsical bow ties.
In addition to sharing her awesome handy work with us today Renata has a special gift for one lucky reader! The Woods Bow Tie, valued at $40, features a bright geometric print and would look rather dashing on any groom. It is also available in a blue/green if red/mustard doesnt tickle your fancy.
How does one go about winning such a snazzy prize? Simply leave your comment on today’s post before midnight Sydney time. Then head on over to our Facebook page and give us an enthusiastic thumbs up.
