For Serina and Tyson, opting for an “awesome party” over “traditional wedding” meant their special day was entirely represented by who they are as a couple. Having themed their nuptials “Woodstock gypsy” the couple pulled off one of the most quirky and awesomely unique weddings we ever did see!
The couple chose Cedar Mists Cottage in Jamberoo, which as you can see from these fun pics taken by the insanely talented Thomas Stewart Photography looks to be a magical rainforest setting, perfect for their outdoor gypsy vibe! Serina, who handmade the bouquets the day before the wedding with flowers found at a local grocery store also went about cutting the tops off over 100 gerberas and scattering them around the hillside where their ceremony was held. The couple also used colourful blankets, morocan cushions and decorations that they collected from their travels together to style their ceremony and reception! Oh and how could we not add the most awesome detail of all.. Yes, this cool couple had a giant teepee marquee from the awesome folk over at KataLane!
The blushing bride (who went barefoot) and the groom decided upon a handfasting ceremony instead of exchanging rings, a detail that was personally important to Serina. The bride also wore a beautiful boho inspired dress from Free People.
It would be just rude of us not to mention that the incredible stylist behind this wedding was none other than the amazingly creative She Designs (Is there anything She Designs can’t do?? Honestly!!) If you want to see more from the creative genius that is She Designs click here.
