Though planning a wedding can teach you many-a-lessons, we think it’s safe to say that Sarah and Luke mastered the most important one of all. “Make it your own and know that you don’t have to stick to a formula,” the pair advises, adding that they decided to leave out quite a few traditional aspects of a wedding – such as having a bridal party.
“At the end of the day it’s about marrying the person you want standing by your side for the rest of your life. Also, have someone at the end of the aisle with a bottle of water. You will need it,” says Sarah, who also tells us that they pretty much had a dream team of vendors.
“All of our vendors were honestly amazing. Our photographer, Maz of Blackbird Tale, and our florist, Annaliese of Signature Floral Design, are both insanely talented and went above and beyond in every aspect to make our day seamless and beyond anything we could have imagined. They are two of the nicest people we have ever met.”
She goes on to say the beautiful blooms were definitely her fave part of the day. “The flowers! They were incredible! So much colour and so vibrant. We are still getting compliments about how fantastic they were.”
With a goal in mind to feel like “a big family get-together”, Sarah and Luke did an amazing job of pulling off a pretty yet chill vibe at Core Cider House – and they assure us they had no regrets.
“A cocktail reception wasn’t my first choice but in the end it worked perfectly and felt very natural. Everything was outdoors which also added to the earthiness and flow of the whole day…We are so glad that we did it our way, it made the day feel very personal to us and our relationship.”
