For Sam and Anthony, their love dates back to when they were teenagers, ever since their first job, where they were, “flipping burgers and making out in the cool room,” Sam says, “he has been my constant for over 10 years, first as a best friend and now as my husband.”

With an eight month engagement, the pair had eloping in mind from the get go, as the couple both agreed their love of travel and adventure should be a factor to their special day.

It turns out our dream wedding looked a lot like our dream holiday- epic adventures, mountains, lakes and good food and tea! We wanted to get back to the simplicity and true purpose of a wedding – to celebrate each other and focus on what makes us happy.”

And boy, did they, with the help of the awesome team behind The Elopement Collective, the pair were able to not only sort out their day – but plan an epic holiday too!

From the moment I had contacted Britt she went above and beyond to make our day all about celebrating us and our love and putting together the most perfect team to be there along side us as we said I do.”

Sam explains that when it came to the dress, her original choice left a little to be desired, so less than a month out from their day, the bride to be contacted The Bridal Atelier about their sample sale. From there she found a stunning Rue De Seine gown, which happened to be a wonderful surprise for her husband to be.

Ant knew about the original dress I had purchased and when I suggested that we do a first look on the day he cheekily said £Sure I’ll practice my surprised face— little did he know his socks would be blown off as I walked down to the lake to great him in the Halo Rue De Sein gown- he had to do a double take!”
