There’s nothing like cramming a wedding between uni semesters, as Mandy and Tom did! Mandy was part way through her postgrad course, which meant time to plan for a wedding was scarce, however the Auckland based pair managed to pull off a rather stunning event, if not for a little help from some fab vendors.
“I’ve never won anything before in my life,” the bride explains, however her luck turned when she became the lucky winner of a wedding dress! However, having just purchased a vintage (circa the 1960’s) Ru De Seine gown, Mandy was fortunate enough to reach an agreement with Jessica Bridal, who not only provided jewellery, a flower girl frock and veil, but also did an incredible job of altering the vintage gown.
The pair agreed that all their vendors did an exceptional job, with Soph and Si of Bayly & Moore Photography being a real standout. “They made us feel so at ease and we trusted their judgement entirely, which meant it was one less thing to have to worry about, we knew going in that we would have amazing photos from the day.”
When asked what the couple were really glad they did for their day, Tom had this to say: “I’m really glad that we overspent on alcohol at the reception so that we had crates full of leftovers to come home to after our mini-moon.”
“I’m also glad that I married Mandy,” the groom added.
