Hold your breath because we’re about to take you on an inspiring underwater journey through Krikor Jabotian’s latest collection of gowns. Inspired by soft corals and sea shells, Krikor explores our fascination with the underwater world with layers of tulle and extravagant, earthy embellishments – the kind that would cause a brief (and very rude) slip of the tongue if ever you were to step on one.

After working at Elie Saab’s creative department, Krikor went on to set up his own atelier at the age of 23 before bringing his family on board to help grow and inspire the Kikor Jabotian business. Now he has the freedom and imagination to create fashion forward pieces like these from his FW14/15 collection.

With silhouettes that defy gravity and embellishments that look like barnacles, Krikor has somehow worked with this odd pairing to make some of the the most interesting and loveliest gowns we’ve seen in a long time. To see his entire range of designs, click here or visit our online directory for a whole heap of amazing Australian and New Zealand designers.
