Kelly and Cam were never ones to do things the traditional way. After getting engaged in Santorini, the pair decided to plan their wedding in just 12 short weeks – surprising their nearest and dearest at their engagement party with a wedding at Melbourne’s Gather & Tailor!
“We wanted to create a buzz by surprising our guests on the night and to celebrate with high energy, happiness and love. We wanted the wedding ceremony to be fun and intimate where our closest friends and families could share the night with us,” explains Kelly, who couldn’t help but rave about their all-star team of suppliers.
“Alex from Motta Weddings and Matt from C2 Films were fantastic to work with on the day. They both had great energy and really helped to keep the day running smoothly. At some stages, we felt so overwhelmed on the day from the excitement/nerves? it was great to have them there to keep us all on track. And the photos are amazing,” she tells us, adding that the blooms were pretty amazing as well.
“The flowers blew us away when we first saw them! Kimberley from Badlands & Co. made a beautiful installation on the bar, as well as the hanging installation above the altar. We had many compliments, recalls the bride, who advises that other couples soon saying ‘I do’ should create a day that reflects them.
“Don’t feel that you have to stick to all the traditions? There are no rules, so make your own! Go with your gut feeling when selecting vendors?explain to them your vision for the day and you will soon see if they will fit in with what you have in mind. Don’t listen to too many people’s opinions when planning your day, only you know what you want and you can never make everyone happy!” True that!
