Hoping to create a day that was filled with the things and people that they love, Kate and Joe organised their wedding at Victoria’s Camp Sunnystones with a particular theme in mind. “We liked to call it a Nordic winter dance party. We wanted it to be relaxed, full of great music and as much dancing as humanly possible. Success!”, says Kate, who hired photographer Zoe Morley to capture the day.
“All of them??? Our photographer Zoe was an absolute gem of a human being (and a very talented photographer as well). She made us feel relaxed, let us do our thing and was our kindred spirit in her view of too many staged photos! Our photos capture the feeling of the day perfectly. We love her,” explains the bride, adding that their caterer, Digging For Fire BBQ, was pretty amazing too.
“Digging for Fire BBQ created some seriously delicious food that was eaten up so quickly! Not a scrap left! Luckily they have opened up a shop in Upwey in the Dandenong Ranges so we can relive the gloriousness any time,” Kate explains, admitting that marriage is pretty special (legal contracts aside).
“We already knew we wanted to travel the world together, create a home together, and have some red headed babies one day. Marriage is a way of teaming up to achieve all of those wonderful things.”
