With a bevy of talented pals to help bring together this awesome shindig, Kat and Sam’s wedding day is certainly one for the books.
After an intimate dinner disguised under the cover of a ‘Christmas event’, Sam popped the question to Kat – who said yes of course!
The couple spend the next year enjoying their engagement and planning their day, with one of the first boxes ticked off their list being the venue. Fortunately for the couple, Sam’s parents happen to own The Overflow Estate 1895, which was also a favourite destination for the couple when they were first dating. Kat adds that in the week lead up to their day, an uncharacteristically violent storm managed to wipe out the two trees that were framing their ceremony! “It wasn’t funny at the time, of course, but in hindsight?”
When it came to the dress, Kat explains it was with the help of HopeXPage owner, and downright cool-gal Alex, who suggested the bride to be try on a variety of gowns – just to get a feel for it. “I’m so glad she did because the second I slipped into the dress I ended up getting, (by designer Daalarna), I knew it was the one for me!”
When it came to naming their standout vendors, the couple were stumped as to who to recommend more, as their day couldn’t have been more perfect without them! There to capture the day was Jazzy Connors, who did an epic job, wouldn’t you agree? Likewise the gorgeous blooms from Peonia and the delicious food from Connections Catering, The Bone Lorry and gelato from Wheel and Spoon.
