At 4am on a Saturday morning, Marc pulled Jodie out of bed so the couple could bike ride their way up to the Byron Bay lighthouse. Marc had planned a birthday getaway to Byron for Jodie, who up until this point had no idea about what Marc had in store for her…

After reaching their destination the pair were taken up to the top of the building, where they were promptly left alone…That’s when Marc popped the question.

The fun didn’t stop there however, with Marc surprising his fianŸ e with a dinner that night accompanied by a small group of her loved ones. “It turns out it wasn’t just a few people?. So when they jumped out and said Surprise- I flashed my ring and said Surprise! But then I had an even bigger shock when I saw everyone that was actually there.” It turns out Marc had been busy texting everyone during the day, making sure Jodie wouldn’t run into anyone in town before the celebratory dinner!

The next day the couple visited The Farm for breakfast, and very quickly they decided this would be the perfect venue for their day. “Marc is a Landscape Architect and we both appreciate ethical and sustainable living?which is exactly what The Farm & Three Blue Ducks embodies.”

Of their bevy of talented vendors, several stood out to Jodie and Marc, including celebrant, Skai, “We instantly hit it off with Skai and she completely understood us as a couple?which in turn created the most amazing ceremony.”

The couple could speak highly enough of their photographers from Lucas & Co, “we can’t even begin to express how amazing they were. They didn’t miss a beat and captured every possible candid moment that happened. What impressed me the most was their ability to capture everything but then to just blend into the crowd and not intrude on the day.”

Looking back at their favourite moments, Jodie recalls when she and her bridesmaids were getting photos taken, and one of her friends tried to pick her up! “She dropped like a tone of bricks and proceed to head butt me on the way down! Thankfully the photographer were to capture it, and it resulted in one my most favourite images from the day.” We agree!
