For third wave coffee shop owners Monika and Jirka, their one and a half year long engagement left them with just the right amount of time to plan their perfect day in the Czech Republic.
“We exactly knew what we want but it took us some time to find it as there are no many options here in Czech Republic. At the end we were pretty lucky to have a friend of our parents, who owns a beautiful property and let us do it there,” explains Monika, who adds that just about everything was DIY.
“All the stuff. Table decorations, walls, favours, ceremony venue, bar etc. We even had to make wooden floor inside the barn. But every single thing was worth it,” she assures us, though it was a friend who took on the task of designing her gown and veil, the bridesmaids gowns AND Jirka’s suit!
“I knew from the beginning it was al going be made by my friend Pavel Dobrovolny, who is a beginner fashion designer. He’s just amazing. I always took my bridesmaids with me for the fittings and it was fun.”
While the couple tells us it’s difficult to choose just one favourite detail from their day captured by Couple of Prague Photography, they loved that everyone was “so happy, funny and drunk”, they share this bit of advice with other future brides and grooms.
“Just be yourself and don’t let anyone to change your vision. We knew how our day was going to look and never let anyone change it. Enjoy every moment of your day! It went so fast. If I could, I would do it again and again!”
