When Jess’s “work meeting” turned into a day of dress shopping, she started to get suspicious. “The proposal was the most amazing adventure”, says Jess, explaining how Mick flew her to Melbourne where he met her in a convertible mini, took her to dinner at an award-winning restaurant and then proposed back at their gorgeous cabin overlooking the Mornington Peninsula.
Sixteen months and many DIY projects later they married at Hinze Dam Visitor Centre in sunny Queensland. “I think our whole wedding was a big DIY project for Mick and I. From collecting all the glass jars, making signs, bombonniere and making our own cake – it was all too fun! We even documented the whole process and made a movie to show our guests as part of our wedding speech”, says Jess who wore a stunning Jennifer Gifford gown.
“I found Jennifer’s website and instantly knew that this is what I was looking for. Jennifer did an amazing job and the best thing is that it is made to fit! She used the most beautiful fabrics and the style was exactly what I was after – I just wish I could wear it again!”
