As the owner of Byron based florist Gypsy Flora Design, it’s no wonder that Heather (and her human of choice, Cal) had one heck of a wedding day.
“I would recommend to couples planning a wedding to make sure each element of the day is an expression of you as a couple, and not just what is traditional. Also, to invest into the vendors that are most important to you. For us it was photography and food,” explains Heather, who hired Mitch Pohl to capture the day.
“Our photographer, Mitch Pohl, was incredible. He captured every special moment without anyone realising he was there. He was super friendly and easy to get along with. He sent our edited photos within a week and they actually took our breath away,” says the bride, adding that Duck Duck Goose Catering and her Lover the Label were standouts on the day too.
“I always wanted a simple beachy dress with a bohemian style to express my true self. It was important that it was designed by an Australian label. The dress is by Lover the Label and was purchased at their store in Sydney,” she says, before explaining the pair’s personal take on marriage.
“It’s a promise to always love, care for and protect each other in any life circumstance for the rest of our lives.” It sure is.
