You wouldn’t typically imagine lost love to be something positive because let’s be honest – it usually means leaving a few angry voicemails and gobbling up a tub of Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream. However, this editorial shoot titled Haunted Bride turns tragedy on its head and into pure, elegant beauty, with a bit of a gothic twist.
Inspired by estranged lovers and unrequited love, Haunted Bride, shot by Katie Grant Photography, depicts the “artful beauty of the lost, the pained, the broken.” Photographed during the turn of the seasons, amongst the falling Autumn leaves and rain drops, beautiful gowns by Gwendolynne were paired with delicate accessories by Bride La Boheme to create a poignant kind of unconventional beauty.
Hair stylist Kayla Marshall and makeup artist Kristy Ellen Creative along with Lua Leuca Floral also contributed their talents to create an intriguing aesthetic – layered, seasonal but also undeniably beautiful. SoCal Limos Perth provided some rather fancy wheels and Lensmunky Productions Video skilfully caught the entire inspiration shoot on film.
