Having already been together for seven years, (enter ‘Seven Year Itch’ pun), Tzeyin and Garphing opted for an elopement rather than the whole shebang of a wedding, and we couldn’t be more in love with their reason why. “Everyone is asking the same question- we don’t have an answer to give! We have no flowers, no big diamond, it just happens naturally,” Tzeyin admits. After looking at Fiji adverts, and hearing about elaborate proposals featuring helicopters in tropical locations, Garphing said, “why not spend the money to get married there instead?” Acording to the couple it was a done deal without a second thought, Tzeyin adding, “this rarely happens!”
The pair discovered Kama Catch Me who organised their floristry and photography. “Gitte (from Kama Catch Me) – without her there would be no wedding for us. She helped us to organise a wonderful wedding.”
Tzeyin explained her dress hunting experience lead her to Samantha from Emmanuel Haute Couture who created a simple and elegant gown for the day. “I always knew I wanted a timeless piece so that my child/grandchildren won’t laugh at her mother/grandmother (like I did, bad me)…”
We couldn’t help but laugh when the pair told us what marriage means to them, “Hmm, that is a tough one. In fact, we are still seeking the answer. But here’s the funny one we always tell each other: ‘So that I can take all your money when you die.’ I guess we will explore the meaning of marriage together throughout our journey.”
