If only all grooms were as willing as Luke to get their craft on, the wedding world would be a much better place. Denise tells us, “Luke is super crafty so I set him the task of creating all the invites, favours, menus, chalk boards, table seating plan. He did awesome!”
Meanwhile, Denise was happy to be in charge of other things, like purchasing flowers from Clementine Posy and a cake topper from From The Owl. “Luke is sensitive to most flowers, so I don’t often receive them on many occasions but he was happy to let me go nuts for this one day! My brief to my florist was very brief – colourful! Ashleigh from Clementine Posy nailed it and I literally could not have asked for anything more”, says Denise whose favourite detail was their lattice wall that had been smothered in bright blooms.
Married at Ravensthorpe Guesthouse & Restaurant in New South Wales by Kristie Poole from All Your Thinking, their ceremony was inspired by stories Denise and Luke had told her of their eight remarkable years together. It was an intimate occasion, all of which was beautifully captured by the fabulous team of photographers over at Studio Something. Beautifully dressed in jewels from The Babushka Ballerina and a gown from Savvy Brides Denise says, “It wasn’t anything that I imagined myself wearing. I thought I didn’t want anything so traditionally ‘bridal’ but I tried on Hathaway by Jenny Yoo and completely fell in love. I did feel it was lacking a little bit of personality so I “stole” a floral brooch from a Anna Campbell dress and it was perfect! What girl can say no to that much tulle!”
