Despite the pressures often associated with planning an elopement, Courtney and Danny were two cool customers when it came down to the nitty-gritty. Having been together for almost eight years, the couple opted on a short six month long engagement. “We always knew we wanted to elope and have something very small and had been together for so long so it didn’t make sense to wait any longer!”
The pair enlisted the help of the fantastic Anteloping, who provided the florals and plenty of ‘on-the-day’ advice. “Joel (our photographer) also recommended our amazing celebrant, Kim Oakhill.”
When it came to picking the venue, these two didn’t waste any time. “We had been to the Watagans before and we loved how secluded and quiet it was. It always felt like we were the only people on earth when we were there,” Courtney says, and we agree – these gorgeous shots from the talented Joel Alston of Barefoot & Bearded speak for themselves. The pair couldn’t speak more highly of Joel, adding, “he was someone that just makes you feel instantly comfortable and is so passionate about what he’s doing that it rubs off on you and makes you excited about everything that’s happening.”
Courtney mentioned that taking a moment for the two of them to have a first look made the day that much more special. “It was such a special and calming moment being able to see him first away from everyone and everything else.”
