While many newly engaged couples struggle to find the perfect wedding venue for their special day, Chloe and Drou had an idea of what they wanted right away – an awesome Sunshine Coast location called Kenilworth Homestead that they’d seen in a video a few years prior.

“After our engagement, we organised to drive up the coast to check it all out and fell in love with it even more. It had the perfect combination of beautiful scenery with a relaxed atmosphere and we loved the idea of having everyone stay at the homestead for the night,” explains Chloe, who tells us Paul Voge was fantastic.

“From our very first meeting, we were super glad we picked him. He was so helpful when it came to creating a ceremony that was extremely personal and laid-back which is exactly what we were going for. He absolutely nailed the ceremony and everything ran so smoothly. We had so many people complementing the ceremony, thanks Paul! ”

Another standout vendor, according to the couple, was legendary photographer Jess Jackson, who is no stranger to Hello May. “Jess Jackson, was an absolute joy to work with. She made us feel really comfortable and just seemed to be in a million places at once. Looking back at our photographs now, I’m not sure how she managed to capture everything!”

When asked how married life is going, Chloe and Drou confess it’s not much different to life before the official celebration. They’re still very much committed to each other and to their beautiful French bulldog.

“For us, our wedding was just one giant, really expensive party that we had a lot of fun planning. We wanted it to be a really fun night where people could just be themselves and celebrate. We wanted it to reflect us as a couple and to officialise our commitment to one another.”
