If nothing else, this stunning shoot by Ben Yew Photography has taught us that everything happens for a reason. When their initial plans to shoot at an alternative venue fell through, Fremantle Sailing Club in Western Australia presented itself as a worthy alternative. With no time to spare, Ben and Jappalin of Flower Talk got the wheels turning.
“We had to re-plan everything including the theme and new location within two weeks or less. Jappalin then came up with this idea to have the styled shoot and theme to be based on this amazing location and they said YES!” explains Ben, who admits this little set back was truly a blessing in disguise.
With a colour palette of white, blue, and grey and touches of green to match the water and the wooden deck yacht, Flower Talk played up the gorgeous, natural colours of the great outdoors and that big beautiful ocean using a mix of white ranunculii, blue delphinium, white carnation, sea holly, gum and peppercorn foliage while The Cake & I mustered up something to suit.
Rocking a lacey Through The White Door number, a Denise McConnochie veil, Galavant Couture jewellery and hair and makeup by Fitz Adi, model Taryn of Launchpad Model Management was dressed to impress. Styled by Away With Estella and Holly Reedman, this team of vendors created a romance, timeless and classic style shoot – thanks to having fate and good weather on their side.
