As the coordinator and photographer of elopement service, Anteloping, it was no wonder Joel (of Barefoot and Bearded) and Bec, his wife to be, opted for an intimate Tasmanian elopement.

The pair decided to ditch the traditions and take their young son Taj on a sightseeing trip. “We explored so many awesome locations on the way to Tassie as we spent a week driving from Newcastle to Melbourne to catch the Spirit of Tasmania,” not a bad idea if you’re wanting to incorporate a bit of a holiday with your elopement (with rings from Digby and Iona)!

Bec explains they found their wonderful vendors through Joel’s connections in the wedding industry, the bride adding, “We were so stoked with each and every vendor we chose and are super happy with their energy and service on the day.” One such vendor was the wonderful Joshua Mikhaiel who captured the festivities, whilst Nathan Kaso Weddings was there to put the day to film, and man did these guys do a good job.

When it came to finding the perfect dress, Bec says it was as much about looks as it was functionality, “Joel had big ideas about hiking a mountain on the day so I knew a long train was out of the question.” Fortunately she discovered a stunning second hand Lover the Label gown, that had the intricate lace details she’d lusted after – and was still within the realms of functionality when it came to walking through the bushland.
