When it came to creating their industrial style wedding, held at Lightspace in Brisbane, Alicia proved it’s not what you know, but who you know. “We were so lucky that so many of our vendors were good friends of ours”, she says referring to their photographer Tricia King, celebrant Paul Voge, jeweller Jody Timms, Jasmine and Gareth from Inch Hair and makeup artist Alex Ouston.
“But I have to give a particular shout out to Amey from Pack A Perfect Party… I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was incredible and I just trusted her implicitly.” For Geordie however, the most rewarding moment was seeing Alicia step out in her Carla Zampatti gown.
“Also, our first dance together”, he says, adding that there’s nothing he would have done differently. “I think having people speak about us during our ceremony rather than having speeches afterwards during the reception really allowed the night to just flow after the ceremony.”
