We have been hanging to share Trish and David’s stunning Byron Bay nuptuals with you for quite a while! Everything about their day makes us swoon. The lanterns! The games! That barn! The fact that this wedding was shot entirely on film by the fine folk of Feather & Stone photography is merely the icing on the cake.
Trish and Dave chose Gurragawee in Brooklet (the Byron Bay hinterland for those not in the know) for their wedding day as friends were married there the year before. ‘We hoped to emulate the relaxed, fun atmosphere that they had achieved. As guests we felt privileged to be part of their special day and wanted to create a similar experience for our family and friends’.
While David’s favourite part of the day was seeing his soon-to-be wife stroll down the aisle, Trish claims reciting the vows they had written together as a highlight. ‘Let’s just say it was emotional! I also can’t forget the wonderful contributions from family and friends that enabled us to have such a personalised occasion. Two of my brothers played guitar whilst we signed the register, we were married by my best friend’s mum and the game signs and marquee letters were made by my middle brother and friends Andy & Tash. We were overwhelmed by their generosity and love’.
Later at the reception, a table full of amazing-looking desserts were devoured in an instant. ‘The food and service provided by Seaweed Cuisine was also exceptional; if only they had a restaurant where we could go and relive the gastronomical experience.’ And what of their photographers? ‘We can’t say enough about our photographers, the lovely Seth and Tenielle. They had taken the time to scope out the property the day prior to the wedding and made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the post-ceremony photo session. We are so happy with the style of the images they took as they capture the warmth, fun and intimacy of the whole day.’
