With a farm in the family that holds so many awesome memories, how could it not be your first and only choice when it comes to a location for your wedding? Stephanie and Peter knows just how that is, having chosen to get hitched on the stunning Victorian farm that Stephanie grew up on. “The farm holds a lot of memories for me,” she said. “It was where I grew up, where us kids had named every paddock, swam in the dam, fished in the creek and jumped motorbikes over each other standing up. My father too, was raised on this land and in the now renovated 1920’s built home which was so amazing to get ready in. If there is anywhere I feel at peace it is on that land… what better place to tie the knot with your one true love and he agreed.”

Keeping things within the family, they had a huge crew who pitched in and helped get the day ready, in just two months! Stephanie says, “I chose all the decorations and details with Pete’s thumbs up for approval, and they all came together with the help of close friends and family. Our photographer Pierre, even helped with some hanging of lights! Most things were handmade down to bunting flags by our ‘darling Claire’ (at 39 weeks pregnant with late notice!)  I made lolly bags as favours with glued fabric hand-cut hearts. Bottles were collected and arranged, then tied with brown string that morning to hang. Homemade Marie Claire paper pom poms. Hanging lanterns. Wine barrels borrowed from friends to frame the ceremony and place flower arrangements. Wood logs cut and delivered that week (again, late notice!) by Tom a family friend who sells firewood. We left most things until the last minute as usual. It all came together so amazingly for a little over two months to plan…”

And on their family farm with the company of their family and friends all around them at the one time (their favourite part of the day), their second favourite part was, “having my mum organise a friend Shona and her daughter Charlie to bring their pony for the children to ride… Bless.”
