When we first spotted this Byron Bay wedding we couldn’t wait to share it with you! Usually it’s the particularly creative decorations or unusual colour palette that captures our eye when sifting through submissions but what drew us to this particular wedding wasn’t anything you can make or buy, it was the warmth and love surrounding Anna and Kym’s big day, captured so effortlessly by the lovely Beck of Beck Rocchi Photography.
Both graphic designers and creative souls at heart Anna and Kym wanted to keep the tone of their big day relaxed, and Fig Tree Restaurant and Rooms overlooking the iconic lighthouse in Byron Bay was the perfect setting for this. Anna says, “We both had the same idea, we wanted a big party where people chatted, ate and drank – nothing over the top or tacky. Just relaxed and fun with lots of love.” By the looks of things that is exactly what they got!
Anna shrugged off tradition and decked her bridesmaids out in all white to tie in with their neutral colour theme as well as her gorgeous strapless Thurley dress. The only real pop of colour to be seen was the bridal car, otherwise known as ‘The Magic Bus’ – which we are sure you will dig just as much as we do here at Hello May HQ.
Anna’s favourite part of the day? Walking down the aisle with her dad (whom has since passed away) only for the two of them to make it halfway down before cracking up laughing! It’s a memory Anna says she will cherish forever, along with these beautiful photos. Big thanks to the lovely Anna and Beck Rocchi Photography for sharing these moments with us.
