There is a lot to love about Sarah and Gerard’s wedding day but our favourite detail of the day has to be Sarah’s floral crown, and not just because we are suckers for a good daisy! Made by the clever girls over at Elyssium Blooms, Sarah was inspired to wear a wreath of daisy’s not because it was trending on Pinterest or the “in” thing to do, but because it was special and sentimental to her.

Sarah explains “They (daisies) were special because my Mum had worn daisies in her hair for her wedding… all of my relatives were telling me how much I looked like my Mum did on her wedding day with the style of gown and my hairstyle with the flowers. That was very special to me.”

Sarah has nothing but praise for the woman behind this splendid floral concoction either. “Elise at Elyssium Blooms was amazing and delivered so much more than I could have imagined. Our bouquets were so beautiful, containing peonies, roses a mix of spring flowers and dusty miller foliage which I was obsessed with! The reception styling was also equally as beautiful and Elise filled the room with over 100 jars and bottles on the tables and hanging above the sweets table. She has an amazing eye for detail and really knows about florals.”

Samantha Wills also had a small staring role in Sarah and Gerard’s big day. Sarah tells us “Gerard had seen me looking at a pair of SW earrings and he brought them and gave them to me to wear on the day. My gift for my bridesmaids was a white SW Bohemian Bardot ring which they all loved! The rings were such a feature and matched perfectly with the dresses.”

Putting aside the fact it bucketed down the night before (Hey! What do you expect of the mid north coast!) Sarah and Gerard’s ceremony, photographed beautifully by Ivy Road, went off with out a hitch and they were able to marry at famous Wategos Beach, bare foot, with sand between their toes. One guest even noted their were dolphins jumping out of the water in the background! We don’t know a whole heap about mythology but surely that’s got to be some kind of crazy good luck!
